i think too many pictures overpublicize romance-too few laud friendship.

i love my friends-all of them! they give me strength, comfort, hope, laughter, support. when im completely broken down, they are there to give me a hug.

i dont like this picture much though. i got inspired by this deviation : [link] and i loved the expression so i worked hard on it. i however ended up neglecting the friend D: she looks too...emotionless? i wouldve like to show the friend's face too, but then i wouldn't get the angle i wanted for the main girl's face. i also made the lines on the girl's hand too dark D: they draw attention away from her face. darn.

but maybe you can interpret it like this? true friends are those who selflessly uphold you and strengthen you, accepting you when you are all red&uffy-eyed with tears, and dont think about whether they themselves get anything in return. they're willing to be anonymous to comfort you.
